The term “aux” is an abbreviation of the word auxiliary. An auxiliary is a form of support. The familiar “aux port” on your audio player is available for an additional input, helping you to play your music from your favorite device. Aux is pronounced “awks”, rhyming with “box”.

The root is a tree’s foundation. The roots that grow below are as large as the tree that you see above, if not, the tree would fall down.
